Hey there, so it's been almost a week and some people on Syle22 RP server still don't know what the New System is. Before I get into it, I just want to thank the community for embracing the New System so enthusiastically, it has been an enormous success.
The New System was created to protect players who desired protection, it was voted on unanimously by Ajax members and was launched instantly. The main focus of the New System is Safety and Access for all players, at all times.
Although it's been the talk of the server this week, there are still the same types of questions popping up, so I'd like to take this time to clear up some grey areas and let everyone know what's really going on. Here are some of the most popular questions I've been getting from players lately:
Q: So what exactly is the "New System" ?
A: The New System is the new way Syles RP will operate from now on, it grants access for certain members to circumvent locked doors in the event of emergency. It is designed to give the door-owner "peace-of-mind".
Q: I'm a door-owner on Syles RP, Is the New System for me?
A: YES! the New System is certainly for you, this change actually only affects door-owners. You should add Ajax members to your key list immediately.
Q: I want to adopt the New system, how much will it cost me?
A: No cost at all! The New System is completely free for those who choose to accept it.
Q: Although the New System has overwhelming support from the playerbase, I still hear conflicting arguments. How does the New System benefit me?
A: It benefits all players, it is better to think of the big-picture. Overall, Ajax having keys to every door improves the quality of play for everyone. The only people who attempt to opt out of the New System are those who are selfish and don't care about their fellow players.
Q: I don't like the New System, likely because of my own ignorance, will I be murdered in the street for not cooperating?
A: Ofcourse not! violence is no way to change peoples minds, no one is punished this way for not cooperating.
Q: I've heard that Ajax abuses their keys to kill AFK players and steal their plants, is this true?
A: This couldn't be further from the truth. We view players who cooperate with the New System as partners and friends, we do not steal from our friends.
Q: Is it true all locks on doors without Ajax keyholders are broken, what about people who don't know about the New System?
A: It is true that currently compliance with the New System can feel forced, not only by Ajax members, but also by New System enthusiasts. All door owners were informed before the change and given ample time to comply, these players have no one to blame but themselves for their loss of locks.
