      Several people have said Linesse is next in the rotation and many don't want that map.
      Just thought a thread for discussing everything Is a good idea.

      personally I want rp_desert but with modifications,
      I would be glad to email it to anyone
      it is a large map that needs more housing but it had 4 bases that are nice and could give a
      better (IMO) to the game

      Yeah Id love for us to run more maps. The current 3 in rotation are nice but they get old pretty quickly and we have tons of newer players who have never seen the maps rp servers used to run so those would be brand new to them.

      If we could compile a list of maps people want I could upload them to the test server after christmas for people to try and see if any stick out to use. It was about a full year and a half since people played Uptown and going back to that was short lived. Freeman is doing alright but I feel a constant rotation between the 3 maps would kill freeman rather quickly too.

      If someone could manage to modify the desert map that would be awesome as well. Some good stuff there just needs re-sizing if people take a look at it in no clip.

      Too busy writing rp plugin 2 map.

      I did just add a full prop system that replaces the current one we have. It has all the same functionality, plus a system for players to spawn, save, and steal furniture. The spawning and saving part doesn't require admin help for the players either. The prop limit is enforced automatically, and props despawn when a player leaves or joins the server. The only thing left is to figure out how the whole doors thing will work. I need a way to make it so if keyholders to a door are online, the door owners props spawn as well.

      a big problem i could see with a system like this is that people could have their friends spawn like a giant crate or some other larger object and then they could crouch where the person put it so that when they get online they will be stuck inside the object and they will be able to hide from other people trying to kill them afk.

      As for the new map, I am super bias because I played on AP for so long and i don't know if anyone could get there hands on any of the maps but if anyone could get the original abusemecity or interurban_abuse I would literally be like a kid in a candy shop.

      I really like this Idea... I was also thinking about this but I would't take a existing map.

      What we would need is a custom map!

      Maybe chyna could create a very custom cold community map with awesome houses and sneaky hidden floors with a canalization and a f?hrer Bunker for me.

      Do you think you're able to create a custom map chyna? I read somewhere TF also had a map - maybe you can continue his work? :icon_pirat:

      Although it would be cool to make a custom map, it just wouldn't work out that well, there are plenty of maps from back in the day that almost noone has seen that are simply amazing and although I don't doubt that we couldn't make a good map it would just cut out of all the work that is already being done to make the mod better and to fix up stuff, plus it still prob wouldn't be as good because of sheer numbers, back when the game was regularly played you had people who would make maps with 6-7 guys helping and a whole lot of input from everyone while now we have 1 maybe 2 who can do it and its just not worth the time and effort when we have a gold mine of maps we can look to from the past because there isn't all too much that has been added to the creation of maps over the past like 10 years its just the amount of sheer man-hours put into a map and we just can't reach the levels of man-hours we had in the past.

      Linesse_r4 is the map I authored. I'm surprised the OP states that a lot of people don't want to play on my map. I personally haven't heard any negative reviews of the map other than some things that could later be improved. Maybe everyone is still tired of it since we were there for a good 8 months or some ridiculous amount of time when it was first released.

      While the placement system would theoretically allow for this, any player can steal any other player's props with a simple command. The command sm_pickup allows any player to pick up any prop UNLESS it was placed by an admin using db_create. Props placed by a player (spawned from inventory) can be picked up by the person who spawned the prop, or stolen by anyone else.

      Alright, counterpoint, you spawn 10 watermelons and freeze them, you go afk, i steal all your watermelons and hide them super deep in my house, now every time you enter the game you cant spawn props because they all just spawn in my house.

      I've been saying that I want yomanacity on Syle's server. I don't know if you guys tried that map but I really like it. There is especially lots of fun to be had breaking into the pd and warring in the hospital that has the elevator.
