    • Patch 1.05 Notes

Some nice new updates this week.

      Server
      • We moved to a stronger server in a better location. Most players should experience a reduction in ping and an overall smoother gameplay.

      Economy

      • Police Scanner: Police Scanner was too expensive, price lowered for cops.

      Civil Protection

      • Skins: Fixed bug that would give cops rebel skins.

      • Bank: Cops no longer see rebel players bank, there is no need.

      • Cuffs: Players can't deal damage to those who are jailed so times don't get reset thanks to Sidezz. this also stops your cuffs from getting killed and losing out on EXP.

      Respect

Respect has been reworked and is now back with some great new features!

      • Trails: Respect will now give players custom trails!

      • Player Sizes: Respect will now allow you to change your player size!

      • Models: Respect will now give you access to more models!

      • Ammo: Respect will now allow you to refill your ammo!

      • Hats: You will now be able to access hats with a certain level of respect!

      Admin Commands

Admin commands have always been a bit odd and not as helpful as they could be. Simplified them and added some new ones. The new prop command list is as follows

      • sm_save
      • sm_unsave: replacement for sm_remove
      • sm_changecolor
      • sm_info
      • sm_ramp: creates the ramps used for roller coasters without the need for db_create_throw
      • sm_freeze
      • sm_unfreeze
      • sm_delete
      • sm_angles
      • sm_origin
      • sm_straight: Straightens those props that don't want to stay still or are too large to handle easily with sm_angles
      • sm_copy: Copies the prop you are looking at
      • sm_paste: Pastes the prop you copied on the floor in front of you

Essentially got rid of all the confusing commands that either don't work or caused crashes along with adding newer helpful ones and simplifying it overall.

      Other

      • Printers: Fixed printers killing others in no kill zones. Brought printers back to normal..[/li]

      • Rules: Added /rules.

      • Help: Added /help.

      • New Player Protection: New players will have a custom model so they are easily to identify and shot less.

      • Server Stability: Fixed crash caused by db_duplicate / duplicate.

      • Server Stability: Fixed second crash caused by db_duplicate / duplicate.

      • Server Stability: Fixed bug caused by overly large arrays.

      • sm_unlockit: Fixed thanks to TF.

      • Job 17: Fixed bug with job 17.

      • Vips: Added 4 second delay to /vip to prevent suicide to avoid death.

      • spec: Admins may now hold W to instantly leave respect without using any extra commands.
One of the features above isn't in game!

this patch is being rolled out in 2 stages, most features have been added in stage one so I can ensure everything is stable before sticking the new respect menu coming in stage 2 online along with giving new players a custom player model. ETA = Monday night.
    • Re: Patch 1.05 Notes

On another note, a new wiki is being worked on to replace the current one because the current one doesn't display properly in game. If I'm able to find a faster replacement, multiple admins will have access to the wiki so things will be kept up to date faster.

So basically the days of Db_info are done. Now it's just /copy?

      Copy, or /info.

Also instead of sm_remove, you would do sm_unsaveit then /delete ?

/unsave not unsaveit and yes delete after. Seems admins have been getting confused with certain commands so unsave should make more sense than remove since remove doesn't actually remove anything.

Also can you clarify on the holding W thing?

When in spectator if you have crime you have to reset your crime to leave it, and you have to enter a console command after. Now you just hold your Forward movement key, which is generally W.

      Thanks, bpn

We should have hats drop from the random crates that drop around but you should charge $2.50 for the keys to open the crates that give you the hats, and you should add cool effects like fire and smoke on some of the hats >.>

Also I guess something you may want to think about with this entire respect revamp is perhaps making a cop revamp as the PD on this map is retardedly made to where 2-3 people can just camp in the suit room for days and always go back in and there are already very little cops that play so making it only 1 cop needing to be on for respect is asking for people to just sit in the pd all day and milk him for respect until he rages or switches off.

But you do have to have the PD fairly easy to get into. Players need something to do. The first Linesse map had such a difficult PD that players just didn't bother - TF removed door(s) to improve it.
Putting the locks on the PD doors causes the same sort of loss of player dynamic.

And i do agree to that to some extent, but when there is only a single door between the suit room and the outside and the door takes like 5 seconds to close and its in a small confined room with a teleporter that takes you out of danger completely and allows for people to hide all over it, I believe that a cop faced with any 2 or 3 people who know how to shoot at a brick wall is completely fucked because he is just going to get camped all day while they sit in the room getting full suit and constantly open the door if one of them happen to die.

The suit room door is admin locked, you'd have to go though two doors.
